Die Rütliwiese ist ein bedeutender Ort für Mythen rund um die Gründung der Schweiz. Im Sommer 2015 fand auf Einladung der Schweizerischen Gemeinnützigen Gesellschaft SGG eine Kunstausstellung auf dem Rütli statt, die von NCBI Schweiz im Rahmen des Projekts iCH organisiert wurde.
Die Ausstellung im Gebäude neben der Rütliwiese war von Juni bis September täglich geöffnet. Sie bot den BesucherInnen, die in dieser Zeit das Rütli besuchten, die Möglichkeit einer Auseinandersetzung damit, was Schweizer Identität ausmacht.
Auf einem Sockel präsentiert steht ein rotes Beauty Case. Darin eingebaut ist ein kleiner Videomonitor. Ein roter Fleck in mitten einer Schneelandschaft. Eine weiss gekleidete Person versucht sich vom roten Tuch zu befreien, dazu ertönt eine Klaviermusik. Das rote Tuch ist eine Schweizerfahne. Im französischen Wort “Fahne” (drapeau) steckt das Wort “Haut” (peau).
The Rütli meadow is an important site for myths surrounding the founding of Switzerland. In the summer of 2015, an art exhibition was held on the Rütli at the invitation of the Swiss Charitable Society SGG, organised by NCBI Switzerland as part of the iCH project.
The exhibition in the building next to the Rütli meadow was open daily from June to September. It offered visitors who visited the Rütli during this period the opportunity to examine what constitutes Swiss identity.
A red beauty case is presented on a pedestal. A small video monitor is built into it. A red spot in the middle of a snowy landscape. A person dressed in white tries to free herself from the red cloth, accompanied by piano music. The red cloth is a Swiss flag. The French word “flag” (drapeau) contains the word “skin” (peau).
