Haus am See - triften I
Intervention with neon writing on the «Haus am See» Krämerstein | 2021
Ruth Baettig was a guest of the Haus am See Foundation in September 2021. During her stay, she explored various interventions and actions on site using a text object, resulting in surprising poetic settings.
The Haus am See is located in the middle of the publicly accessible, listed Villa Krämerstein park in Horw—a place where the vibrancy of summer meets the quiet solitude of the winter months. Baettig’s interventions respond precisely to these shifting moods, experimenting with the text object in ways that can be summed up by the verb “triften” (to drift).
The interventions create unexpected poetic moments that surprise day-strollers and night-time wanderers alike. They point to the experience of getting lost, the presence of disorder, and explore unconventional art exhibition formats.
