La Folia bedeutet wörtlich Wahnsinn oder Verrücktheit, und ist eines der bemerkenswertesten Motive in der Musikgeschichte, vor allem für die Barockzeit prägend. In der Musiktheorie bezeichnet der Begriff «Invention» wiederum ein Stück, das aus einer musikalischen Inspiration heraus nachgeahmt, entwickelt und variiert wurde. Dabei spielt auch das Zufällige eine wichtige Rolle.
Diese Elemente fügen sich sinnig in der Waldsiedelei Wettstein aneinander und bilden den musikalischen Bogen zur mitten im Wald installierte Neonschrift «Ich habe mich verloren». Sich selbst zu verlieren ist ein Ausgangspunkt, eine Perle, eine Gelegenheit, sich in einer Realität zu finden, die zuvor nicht niedergeschrieben wurde. Das Risiko, sich zu verirren, ist eine Chance, eine Chance, wirklich da zu sein, auf Erden. Dies ist der Zustand der Folia.

La Folia literally means madness or craziness, and is one of the most remarkable motifs in music history, especially influential in the Baroque period. In music theory, the term “invention” in turn refers to a piece that has been imitated, developed and varied out of musical inspiration. Randomness also plays an important role in this.
These elements fit together sensibly in the Waldsiedelei Wettstein and form the musical arch to the neon sign “Ich habe mich verloren” (I have lost myself) installed in the middle of the forest. Losing oneself is a starting point, a pearl, an opportunity to find oneself in a reality that has not been written down before. The risk of getting lost is an opportunity, a chance to really be there, on earth. This is the state of folia.
